My Mother-In-Law has recently moved into this home we both highly recommend them.  We get emails, phone calls weekly about how she is and about care plans and needs, and any Covid-19 updates.  When we had our first visit they showed us her room, told us the room would be decorated, true to their word it was, they put up all her pictures on the walls, made it look like home from home.  The Manager and Staff are very helpful and friendly and we feel like she has been there years.  The residents have activities most days, and hairdresser on Wednesdays, we have seen a big change in our mum.  She is joining in with them and mixing well with everyone, even smiling again, which we have not seen in a while.  The Home is very clean with no smells, bright, and with an activities room, with a TV, also two large bright, airy Conservatories, and two dining rooms.  There is also a lovely garden with tables and chairs under a pergola, and a flagged walkway for walking.  Our Mum has started eating again, shes says the food is good.

Mum moved into Brookside Care Home a month ago after struggling at home.  What a relief it has been.  Mum didn’t want to leave her home, however, she has settled really quickly at Brookside, she is no longer scared and she feels happy.  This has been due to the tremendous team who care for the residents so well, with kindness, compassion, respect and a lot of smiles and laughter.  Mum’s care needs are met to the highest standards and any difficulties or concerns are immediately addressed.  Nothing is too much trouble.  Mum now receives much more stimulation and interaction at Brookside with the varied and well-planned activities that take place, and as relatives we get some ability to join in with the many photos that are placed on the Facebook page.  The manager is an experienced, passionate and enthusiastic professional who instils a positive culture that drives the provision of excellent care and communication with the residents and their families.  Brookside very quickly has become Mum’s home.

Wonderful home for mum who is 100 years old – she is well-nourished, spotlessly clean and smart and has increased her weight.  The manager, who I fondly refer to as matron is an extremely competent professional and has a superb team of staff.  Any questions regarding mum are dealt with promptly and I feel reassured that she is being well cared for whilst maintaining her dignity.  Her room is immaculate, yet cosy, and the lounges are happy and relaxing.  Mum has far more stimulation at Brookside Care Home as there are numerous activities, far more than I expected.  I can see from the photos she is happy and has made some lovely friends too.

My Cousin was fortunate in being placed at Brookside Care Home in April following a lengthy stay in hospital.  I live a considerable distance away and would find it difficult to visit even without Covid restrictions so I’ve relied heavily on updates by telephone or email.  The staff are fantastic, headed up by a manager who is clearly passionate about her role, ensuring all residents are catered for on an individual basis.  The family atmosphere comes across so strongly in all they do.  I’m an avid follower of the Facebook page and regularly see my cousin enthusiastically involved in a huge range of activities, drawing on her own interests and supporting her emotional wellbeing.  The creativity of the activities coordinator never ceases to amaze me.  Being able to have Facetime chats has been a great comfort and she appears content and full of praise for the staff.  Thank you Brookside from me, other relatives and friends who are greatly relieved that she is being cared for by such dedicated staff.

My mother moved into Brookside Care Home last January and looking back, what a blessing.  Throughout this nightmare of a year, we, as a family, know that she is well looked after and protected.  The manager conscientiously guards her residents and makes sure they are kept safe.  Yes, I am missing the fact that I can’t see Mum, but she knows we can’t see her because we love and care for her.  Anything to keep her safe.  Mum appreciates the staff, and every time I call her, she says how kind and caring everyone is.  We will soon be investigating the live chat facility so that we can see her and chat.

The standard of care to the residents is exceptional, since Mum moved into Brookside Care Home at a very difficult time, she has got involved in activities and has been eating a lot better than she was when at home.  I have noticed a difference in her happiness there.  All the staff at Brookside work very hard to ensure the residents are cared for in the best possible way they can.  The photos I see of Mum smiling away and having fun fills me with confidence she is now in the best possible place, even during these difficult times.  The manager has always been updating me on her progress and always informs me of anything that I need to know.  The activities the residents are involved in are great and the staff are doing a tremendous job in dealing with the Coronavirus conditions.  I can recommend that having my mum staying at Brookside has been a very positive move and a big relief to her family knowing she is safe.  This has given her new friends, and a day full of activities which are done by the staff.
